Winter Down Under (Solstice KAL 2022)

This kit was created for Ambah O'Brien's 2022 Solstice Knit-Along. The kit is available both in fingering (summer solstice pattern) and DK (winter solstice pattern) weight, in 21 (summer solstice pattern) or 24 (winter solstice pattern) mini skein options.

The 24 skein option (either in fingering or DK) is also a great unwrapped festive/advent kit!

Description

This kit is inspired by imagery from the varied Australian landscapes, with an emphasis on the red, yellow, ochre and brown tones along with hardy, succulent greens. This earthy and muted kit contrasts to the Summer Flower Crown kit, which is brighter greens and pops of colors from flowers. This kit has a lovely warmth and richness to the palette! Each of the 21 colorways are unique, although some are close in tonality.

Base: This kit is offered on Merino DK and Merino Twist bases.
Weight per mini skein: 20 g / 45 m / 49 yds (DK) and 20 g / 80 m / 87 yd
