About the song

In 2018, Cyprus sent Eleni Foureira to represent the country with the song Fuego. Now, many Mediterranean countries are known for sending songs with a certain sound, sex appeal, and "hairography" (that is, dance choreography that features copious amounts of hair flipping) but never before had it reached this level. Eleni became the instant queen of this particular style of performance, and finished second overall in the competition. It was Cyprus's best placement ever in the competition.
