Merry Christmas to all who celebrate! Well, we actually celebrated yesterday over here, but since this is the final stop on my journey, today is the final blog post. After leaving Stockholm I went north to Uppsala and did a few more history tours (there's been so much hisory on this trip!). Then I took a swing westward again over to Sala, where I visited the silver mine.
Finally, though, it was time for my very last stop: Avesta! And the most important thing in Avesta is, of course, the World's Largest Dala Horse.
I mean, the world's largest straw goat has got to go visit the world's largest Dalecarian horse! We're about the same height, too, so that's pretty awesome! It was installed in 1989, and took the height record from the large Dala horse in Minnesota.
They've got a fantastic display next to it, too, showing the current world record height of Swedish-American pole vaulter Armand Duplantis.
Anyway, I hope you've had fun traveling around Sweden with me this year. Good thing it's only about 99km back home to Gävle from here!
Cheers,
Gävlebocken
